Mastix Medica was created in 2009 by a pharmaceutical industry executive with the goal of developing niche healthcare products (supplements and pharmaceuticals) in underutilized, emerging dosage forms like chewing gums, chewable tablets and lozenges. Using an in-house product development team, Mastix Medica is developing custom tablet formulations that incorporate supplements for companies competing in a variety of markets, including energy, cosmeceutical, weight loss and dental, just to name a few. Developing our own niche, generic pharmaceutical products is a longer term goal for us.

Mastix Medica is one of only two manufacturers of cold compression tableted chewing gum in the United States. We currently manufacture Stay Alert® 100mg caffeine gum that is sold to the U.S. Military for use in their First Strike® kits used in Iraq and Afghanistan. Extensive clinical studies concluded that Stay Alert® caffeinated gum provides the most rapid absorption of caffeine through the oral membrane in the mouth.

Mastix Medica is one of the very few gum manufacturers in the world that uses a direct compression, cold-tableting process. This proprietary gum delivery technology is excellent for delivering supplements and active ingredients. Some of the significant advantages using a direct compression chewing gum are:
